Red Bull driver Max Verstappen easily won the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday, taking a huge step toward winning the Formula One world championship for the fourth time in a row. After receiving a five-place grid penalty, the Dutchman began the race in 17th place, but he defied the odds by advancing through the pack and earning all of the points.
The drivers had a difficult day because the qualifying session on Saturday was rescheduled for Sunday due to the rainy conditions.
Verstappen increased his lead to 62 points at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings, and McLaren driver Lando Norris had a tough day after he could only secure P6.
In contrast, Lewis Hamilton finished in tenth place and seems prepared to move on from his recent Mercedes troubles and join Ferrari as soon as possible.
Later this month, the Formula One race returns to Las Vegas after a two-week hiatus. Before the penultimate race in Qatar and the final one in Abu Dhabi, Verstappen will have his first chance to hold this year’s trophy in the North American race.
Bearman feared for life in Brazil

Hamilton hints at skipping final races
Lewis Hamilton, the star of Mercedes, has made hints that he might skip the season’s last three races before joining Ferrari for the 2025 campaign. The seven-time world champion had a terrible weekend in Brazil, finishing in P10 and earning just one point.
Hamilton said on his radio during his warm-up lap that the weekend had been a “disaster of a weekend” and that his car was “the worst it has ever been.”
“But thank you for keeping trying,” he continued. The men at the pitstop did a fantastic job. It’s unfortunate it wasn’t better if this is my final performance. but thankful for you.
