MAJOR CHAMPION REVEALS HE’S NOT DEAD AFTER SHOCKING PGA MISTAKE

Hal Sutton, the former US PGA champion, acknowledges that he is “alive and well” following PGA magazine’s error in listing him in their obituaries.

Hal Sutton, the former US PGA champion, has reportedly been listed as deceased in the obituaries of PGA magazine. However, Sutton has taken to social media to clarify that he is “alive and well.”

At the 1983 US PGA Championship at Riviera, Sutton, 65, defeated 18-time major record holder Jack Nicklaus by a single stroke to win the renowned Wanamaker trophy.

The 14-time PGA Tour winner is most known for defeating Tiger Woods in the final group at TPC Sawgrass to win the 2000 Players Championship by a single stroke in a thrilling Monday finish.

Sutton famously yelled, “be the right club today,” as he struck the center of the 18th green with his last iron shot.

Hal Sutton says he’s alive after making an astonishing PGA error.
Sutton claims that Jack Burke, the two-time major winner, was not the person whose name was mistakenly listed in the PGA magazine as having passed away on January 19, 2024.

The day Burke died, he was 100 years old.

Sutton stated on Twitter that he is still very much alive and well and that he has been working hard to finish Darmor Club in Texas, which will open for performances in June.

Sutton, who finished inside the top 10 in each of the four majors, is the President and General Manager of Darmor Club.

Sutton posted on X / Twitter:

Just to clear things up, I was listed in the PGA magazine’s orbituaries as having died on January 19th! I’m still here and kicking around Darmor Club, just putting the finishing touches on it before we open on June 1. I appreciate everyone who has inquired about me (emoji smile).”
In response to Sutton’s post, former PGA Tour winner Mark Lye wrote, “Damn Hal!!!” Who the fuck is in charge of that?

“I don’t know, but it was a reminder to be grateful for life,” Sutton retorted. I was grateful that so many people had inquired about me.”
