Billy Horschel, a professional golfer on the PGA Tour, took a quick shot at a fan who was shouting at him while his partner was making a putt.

Ben An, the previous BMW PGA champion, revealed on Twitter this past weekend how the third round of the WM Phoenix Open was “out of control.”

Over the weekend, a number of videos of athletes sliding down muddy slopes and one spectator throwing himself into a greenside bunker went viral.

On the par-3 16th hole at Stadium Hole, one woman is said to have suffered injuries.

That’s why, during the third round, alcohol sales were immediately stopped.

There is a fight at the WM Phoenix Open.
Another horrifying video that went viral showed golf fans fighting while the competition was still in progress.

At the Waste Management Phoenix Open, there was a fight.

The tournament was won by Nick Taylor of Canada, who defeated Waste Management spokesman Charley Hoffman on the second extra hole.

Before making two more birdies on the par-4 18th hole, Taylor forced a playoff match with Hoffman by birdieing three of the final four holes.

He made the birdie putt from just outside of ten feet to win his fourth career PGA Tour championship.

At 47 years old, Hoffman had been aiming to become the second-oldest winner of the WM Phoenix Open.

Taylor shot to a career-high 28th place in the Official World Golf Rankings and accepted a check for $1.5 million along with 500 FedEx Cup points.
