Jon Rahm uses five reasons to justify joining LIV Golf after one huge reservation

Jon Rahm listed all of the reasons for his decision to join LIV Golf, including the financial benefits and growing golf in Spain, but still hopes to participate in the Ryder Cup and PGA Tour events

Jon Rahm has listed his reasons for joining LIV Golf, including the team aspect, financial benefits, improving the game, leaving an impact in his native Spain, and a desire to be a pioneer as he confirmed his decision.

Acknowledging the financial aspect of his decision, Rahm admitted on FOX News: “It’s one of the reasons I’m not going to sit here and lie to you. It’s one of the reasons.” The Spanish golfer will reportedly receive £450million from LIV and a portion of a team.

Rahm maintained his silence when asked about the specifics of his contract with LIV, saying, “I’m not allowed to speak on that right now. There are some things that will remain private.

Despite possible difficulties and unknowns, Rahm emphasized how much he was looking forward to LIV Golf’s team component. He exclaimed, “The team element of things is absolutely key.” “Many of those emotions returned after that chance. I’m excited to assemble a formidable squad of four players.”

Rahm was rumored to be joining Liv, but there was also talk that he might sign with Fireballs GC, a team that is entirely Spanish and is managed by Sergio Garcia. Carlos Ortiz, Eugenio Chacarra, and Abraham Ancer are also members of the team. Rahm stated that he wanted to help Spain’s golf industry flourish. The 29-year-old, who was a member of Team Europe in the Ryder Cup, was born in Barrika, Spain.

He said, “I really hope that in the future we can make decisions that make golf better. There have been some leaps and some growth toward the game of golf getting together.” “I play golf to the best of my abilities and try to leave the game in a better place than when I started.” That’s my philosophy. I always bring up Seve’s contribution to the growth of the game in Spain. If I can accomplish even half of what he did, then it will be successful.”

Speaking about the impetus for his choice, Rahm recognized the dynamic shift in the golf industry. “Golf has evolved a lot over the last two years, and both I and other things have changed significantly,” he said. “We’re here today because I find something fascinating about the development, evolution, and innovation that has taken place.”

Rahm acknowledged that he was confident in his choice and that it was in line with his priorities for his family and himself, even though he was prepared for a possible negative reaction. Rahm is a big fan of the Ryder Cup, and he said that his main worry was the possibility of missing the esteemed competition.

However, he confirmed that the advantages provided by LIV Golf were worthwhile assuming some risk. Rahm declared, “What they had to offer was worth the risk of maybe not playing in a Ryder Cup.”

Rahm kept his distance when it came to possible talks between the Public Investment Fund and the PGA Tour. “I cannot talk about what I do not understand. “I wish I had more information about the current state of the framework,” he said. “In order to play the best golf I can play, I’ve kept myself away from all that.”

Rahm wanted to keep competing in PGA Tour and DPWT events despite the big change. “I will not give up my DPWT and PGA Tour status; I do want to keep them. I’m hoping to be able to play both of those tours with the freedom LIV has given me,” Rahm said.
