Smith has decided to withdraw from the fifth event of the LIV Golf season, which takes place on April 11–14, the eve of The Masters.

Over the years, the 150th Open champion has had some strong finishes at Augusta, most notably a T2 in 2020 and a T3 in 2022.

In seven trips to The Masters, the Australian has four top-10 finishes.

Smith leads Ripper GC on LIV Golf as captain.

Ben Campbell will take his place on the team for the next two rounds.

Although Smith hasn’t won on LIV Golf yet this year, he did place third in Hong Kong the previous time around.

At LIV Golf Miami, Sergio Garcia and Talor Gooch are both in the running going into the second round.
