AJGA TAKE ACTION AFTER TIGER WOODS’ SON SUBJECTED TO ‘UNRULY BEHAVIOUR’

Charlie Woods is getting ready to make his debut in the American Junior Golf Association on a sponsor’s invitation, and there are reportedly armed police present.

This week marks Charlie Woods, the son of Tiger Woods,’sAJGAdebut.

A sponsor has extended an invitation to Charlie, who turned fifteen in February, to participate in the Will Lowery Junior Championship.

At the Carolina Trace Country Club, Tiger was seen cheering Charlie on during his first competition on the circuit he dominated as a junior.

The 15-time major champion met in private with Yasir Al-Rumayyan, chairman of LIV Golf, and had to return quickly from the Bahamas to be there.

It should come as no surprise that Charlie’s entry into the field has generated a lot of interest from the public and media.

Additionally, armed police are reportedly stationed at the entrance, carefully reviewing IDs before issuing badges.

The action is probably a reaction to the treatment Charlie endured when he tried to enter his first PGA Tour event in February.

Charlie shot a 16-over par 86 in a pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic, so things didn’t go as planned.

However, the rowdy fan behavior at Lost Lake Golf Club ruined his round.

As per a comprehensive report published in the Palm Beach Post:

Charlie was followed by spectators in the fairway, defying officials’ orders to remain back.

One woman acknowledged that she had taken her granddaughter out of school in the hopes that Charlie would notice her.

Tiger is in North Carolina while Charlie gets ready for his AJGA debut on a sponsor’s exemption. A fan allegedly demanded that Charlie sign a copy of his father’s book, “How I Play Golf.” #SIGHTING

Hopefully, Charlie’s most recent tournament goes off without a hitch.

Charlie plays mostly on the Junior PGA South Florida Tour and the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, although he is still in the early stages of his junior career.

Like Pops in his prime, he has already won one event and easily won by eight shots.

When Charlie and the Benjamin School boys team won a high school state golf championship in November of last year, Charlie also boasted about his father.

Growing up, Tiger never took home a state championship.
