Christian Horner investigation now ‘complete’ as timeframe set for Red Bull decision

It is said that Christian Horner will find out his fate within the next few days.

According to reports, the investigation into Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has concluded, and an announcement regarding his future will be made within the next 48 hours. The 50-year-old is under investigation for alleged inappropriate behavior, which he disputes, after an Austrian female employee complained to Red Bull’s parent company.

Red Bull has had to deal with a lot of controversy ahead of the upcoming season, which has cast a shadow over the saga, but it appears that a resolution is finally in sight. According to Sky Sports, the procedure should be completed before this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix, and a final decision should be made public on Tuesday or Wednesday.

It is now claimed that Horner’s external investigation, conducted by a qualified barrister, is finished. The board of the company now has access to a lengthy report that is estimated to be more than 100 pages long. The board will ultimately decide whether Horner continues in his position or leaves the team.

Red Bull is reportedly not expected to disclose “major detail” in their announcement regarding Horner’s future, even though the story has been publicized for the past few weeks. It follows Ford CEO Jim Farley’s alleged letter to the company expressing his displeasure, in which he urged Red Bull to expedite the investigation process.

Ford, who will partner with Red Bull in 2026, was “increasingly frustrated by the lack of resolution or clear indication from you about when you anticipate a fair and just resolution of this matter,” Farley reportedly wrote, as reported by AP News.

“As your corporate partners, we are also irritated by the lack of complete transparency surrounding this matter and anticipate receiving a comprehensive account of all findings.”

Formula One made its first public statement on the Horner investigation last week, and it came after other organizations made similar calls for a speedy resolution to the issue.

According to a statement: “We anticipate that the issue will be resolved as soon as possible following an impartial and exhaustive procedure. It has been observed that Red Bull has initiated an impartial inquiry into claims made by internal sources at Red Bull Racing. We won’t be making any more comments at this time.

During his 19 years in charge, Horner has guided Red Bull to seven Drivers’ Championship titles and six Constructors’ Championship victories, making him one of the most successful team principals in recent sport history. Despite the investigation, he has been performing his job as usual in recent weeks, and Red Bull decided not to suspend him while they awaited the results.
