The New York Jets star walked away from the coach during an angry sideline exchange

The New York Jets, without Aaron Rodgers, have lost two straight games since an overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills the night their quarterback injured his Achilles.

New York Jets running back Michael Carter had to be restrained by teammates after confronting his coach, Taylor Embree, on the sideline during Sunday’s 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots.

Carter, 24, couldn’t stop Patriots safety Kyle Dugger in the third quarter before making Embree’s comments on the sideline.

The third-year pro began yelling at Embree before the running backs coach walked away rather than cause a scene.

After attempting to follow him and continue the offense, Jets receiver Xavier Gipson intercepted Carter’s pass, and cornerback Justin Hardee also defused the situation.

Given the current gap between player and coach, Embree reacted of late with obvious frustration.

That wasn’t even the first point of contention of the match.

Minutes earlier, receiver Garrett Wilson forcefully pointed something out to quarterback Zach Wilson on offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett’s iPad.

Afterwards, Wilson admitted that frustration was evident on the sidelines.

“Just the frustration of not moving the ball,” the reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year told reporters.

“Our defense had some stops and I just felt it was time to put up some points.

I’m trying to figure out how to attack New England.

Carter was also asked after the game to explain his outburst in the second half.

“What we’re talking about obviously I’m not going to tell you but it has nothing to do with anything other than the game,” he said.

“It’s 100% two opponents, both wanting to win.

Many people see this as a tragedy and I need to control myself better.

I’m 24 years old.

I know better.”

He appealed to journalists: “Please do not try to steal my comments because this is a very important topic for me.

“I have the utmost respect for Coach Embree.

Honestly, [he] probably gave me the ball in the draft.

He was a big part of the reason why I even into today’s Jet aircraft.

“He and I have a great relationship that goes beyond football.

” Carter continued:

“For my people and everyone who saw it, everyone knew it wasn’t me.

That’s not how I act.

“This is my dream job.

I love the game and Embree knows it.

He loves the game too.

We are both alphas and sometimes we clash.

This is my first time making love .

* with anyone in the match.

The third-year player later confirmed that he and the Jets coach spoke and resolved their differences regarding their “poor communication.

“Any time you let something like this happen, it’s only going to get worse,” Carter added, “and we have bigger goals in mind.”

“It’s not as bad as it looks.

When you truly love what you do, it means everything.

It has nothing to do with selfishness [about a few minutes].
