REVEALED: THE FOUR PLAYERS RELEGATED FROM LIV GOLF

Following the conclusion of the LIV Golf Tour’s regular season, four players made history by becoming the first to be relegated from the Breakaway Tour.

As LIV Golf’s 2023 regular season ended in Jeddah last week, four players found themselves in the uncomfortable position of being relegated from the breakaway circuit.

Ripper GC’s Jediah Morgan, HyFlyers GC’s James Piot, Smash GC’s Chase Koepka and Iron Heads GC’s Sihwan Kim are all set to be relegated, with Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer filling the remaining two spots in the bottom six .

However, due to contract waivers, Kaymer and Westwood will still participate in the tournament as they are both captains of their respective teams.
Kim finished last in the season-ending standings, after failing to accumulate a single point in 13 starts.

Kaymer finished one spot above Kim, also failing to score any points on the season, after missing the first three events on the calendar.

Chase Koepka and Piot each earned just one point, while Morgan did slightly better, winning just three points.

Westwood has seven points from 12 starts, but the former world number one can rest assured thanks to the safety net provided by the Majesticks GC captaincy.
Four relegated players will have the chance to reclaim their places in the Saudi-backed national league in a promotion tournament later this year.

However, with only three spots in the event, at least one of the aforementioned players will not return for the 2024 season.

At the other end of the spectrum, Talor Gooch won the 2023 individual championship and in doing so took home a whopping $18 million check.

Despite winning the final event of the regular season in Jeddah, Brooks Koepka finished third overall, while Australia’s Cameron Smith finished second.
