Verstappen revealed his fear of losing his F1 hunger

Max Verstappen is enjoying a period of dominance in Formula 1 and admits he fears losing his desire for the sport in the future.

Max Verstappen revealed he fears one day he will no longer desire to compete in Formula 1.

Verstappen has had a very successful campaign this year, winning his third F1 world championship last weekend in Qatar.

The Dutchman has dominated the season, winning 14 of the 17 Grands Prix held this campaign.

He is under contract until the end of the 2028 season, but his future in F1 beyond this period has been called into question due to his opposition to expanding the racing calendar and introducing more sprint events. But as he continues to enjoy his continued success, Verstappen was asked by media including RacingNews365.com if he was afraid of losing his F1 thirst, to which he replied:
“Sure.

“I think that that’s normal. Of course, I’m still very young but at one point I think you’ve had enough.

“I think everyone at one point has that if that is because you realise that your body can’t handle it anymore in some sports then you have to accept that.

“You have to just, in a way retire, but for sure, at one point, you might want to do other stuff or race a bit less, absolutely. But not right now.”
