Novak Djokovic’s wife makes feelings clear on sacked coaches joining rival

Following the discovery that two of her husband’s previous coaches had a relationship with world number one Jannik Sinner, Jelena Djokovic, the wife of Novak Djokovic, shared her thoughts on social media.

Witnessing two of her husband’s former coaches team up with Jannik Sinner, a tennis rival, made the wife of Novak Djokovic laugh uncontrollably.

Fitness coach Marco Panichi and physiotherapist Ulises Badio have been hired by world number one Sinner, who has reorganized his support team following a doping scandal. Having worked with the 24-time grand slam winner Djokovic in the past, both men had considerable success.

Sinner welcomed the two to his team by posting a photo of himself with them on his Instagram page. “Welcome to the team, Marco and Ulises,” he wrote. Jelena Djokovic added her voice in response, joking that she would be sticking with her man. Posting, she said, “I won’t give up.”

After the doping scandal clouded his performance at the US Open, which he eventually won, Sinner made adjustments. The 25-year-old entered the competition with some baggage after avoiding a ban in spite of two positive tests in March.

Sinner’s explanation that the prohibited substance clostebol, which can promote muscle growth, had unintentionally entered his system through a product one of his teammates had used to treat a minor wound was accepted by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). Consequently, Umberto Ferrara, the fitness coach, and Giacomo Naldi, the physiotherapist, left the Italian team.

Sinner remarked, “I’m not feeling that confident to continue with them because of these mistakes.” “Right now, all I really need is some fresh air.”

“In the past few months, I was really having trouble. I’m waiting on the outcome right now, and I just need some fresh air.”

Panichi has revealed in detail what it’s like to work with the demanding Serb, having only stopped working with him earlier this year. “We knew it was nothing personal, we knew he needed that [to let out his anger] sometimes in order to play at his best,” he said to Sportal.

We were aware of how his thoughts functioned and knew when to speak to him and when to remain silent. He’s the kind of player who requires it occasionally.

“There’s always stress when you have a player like him. Stress arises from the fact that a player such as him represents the industry for himself; you have to deal with the entire organization in addition to him.

Furthermore, a world-class tennis player such as him will never stop asking for more. That’s how the game works.

Djokovic replaced Panichi with Gebhart Fil-Grich as part of a larger team reorganization that also saw coach Goran Ivanisevic leave. After playing with Djokovic’s squad for more than five years, Badio left at the end of 2022.
