Simone Biles Wants “Justice” For Jordan Chiles after another major Controversy

“We will continue to encourage and support her.”

After losing her bronze medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics to her teammate Jordan Chiles, Simone Biles has vowed to get “justice” for her. In an interview with People, the renowned gymnast shared her thoughts on Chiles’ medal. She talked about how she has continued to communicate with the Olympic champion despite this difficult period.

She said to the publication, “We’ve been FaceTiming, texting, just being girls.” One day, when we spoke, I told her, ‘You know what, Jordan, you have to feel all these feels.'” Don’t allow these feelings to deter you. The healthiest method to deal with everything will be this.

The fact that this has never happened before makes it a very unfortunate situation. We wish all three girls could win the medal, but sadly, that isn’t the case in gymnastics.

Do we believe they followed the right procedures in order to reach this decision? No. That’s the main reason we’re going to continue encouraging and supporting Jordan and why we want justice for her.

Jordan Chiles lost her bronze medal after the Romanian Olympic Committee contested the outcome of her floor routine, as was previously reported. After the decision, Chiles released a statement in which she described the verdict as “devastating” and “unjust.”

“I’m at a loss for words. Not only does this decision feel unfair, but it also deals a serious blow to all those who have supported my journey, according to Chiles. “The unnecessary and deeply hurtful racial attacks on social media only serve to deepen the heartache. I’ve given this sport my all, and I’m incredibly proud to be a representative of my nation and culture.

“I am currently facing one of the most difficult situations of my professional life,” Chiles continued. “Trust me when I say that I’ve had a lot. As with previous challenges, I’ll tackle this one head-on and do everything in my power to see that justice is served. I think those in charge will act morally at the conclusion of this journey.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld Romania’s victory over other countries in the Olympic competition, reversing the results. In a “reallocation” ceremony on Friday, August 16, in Bucharest, Romania, Romanian gymnast Ana BĶrbosu was formally given the bronze medal.
