Tiger Woods’ food order on his PGA Tour return divides opinion

This week’s Genesis Invitational marks Tiger Woods’ return to the PGA Tour, and the 15-time major winner enjoyed an In-N-Out burger while preparing at Riviera Country Club.

Tiger Woods, 48, devoured a burger at this week’s Genesis Invitational in anticipation of his return to the PGA Tour, causing controversy.

This week, Woods is competing in his first PGA Tour event of the year in Los Angeles, but fans are drawn to more than just his skill on the golf field. The 15-time major champion was spotted utilizing the on-site In-N-Out stand in the lead-up to the competition.

Social media users have taken notice of a video of the legendary golfer, Tiger Woods, receiving his order. In it, Woods divulges that he doesn’t like pickles on his burger.

After receiving his double double order, the tournament host selected the pickles and tossed them into a nearby bin. One fan posted on X (previously Twitter), obviously supporting Woods’ pickle-free stance: “Tiger, my man! “Team, no pickles!”

Another person echoed this, saying that pickles are a great side dish that shouldn’t be served with hamburgers. Before a third commented, “The [greatest of all time] knows pickles are trash, Tiger got it right.” Not everyone agreed with Woods’ pickle stance, despite many people supporting him.

“Jack [Nickluas] is cemented as the goat [greatest of all time] by throwing pickles away.” A second critic followed suit, writing on X, saying, “I’ve never lost more respect for [Woods] than learning that he ruined perfectly good pickles.” The audacity.” Then a third said, “This is insane. I can’t support Tiger anymore.”

Apart from his burger selection, Woods is making a significant trip to Riviera. In addition to hosting the tournament and participating in his first event of the season, the former world No. 1 chose to debut his new apparel brand, Sun Day Red, earlier this week.

After an illustrious 27-year collaboration, Woods announced last month that he was parting ways with Nike Golf. As a result, he decided to collaborate with TaylorMade, his club supplier, to launch his own clothing line. The line is a reference to the recognizable red shirt he has worn to compete in tournament finals throughout his career.

“I have learned so much over the years and have a lifetime of experience adjusting my apparel and footwear to help me play better based on the way it was constructed,” Woods said in a statement announcing the launch.

I could tell you about things I’ve done over the years that no one has ever heard of.

“I’m prepared to reveal those secrets to everyone. Sun Day Red is for people who share those values, whether it’s in life or on the course. We will represent a love of playing and competing. Our guiding principle will be to prioritize the athlete when choosing products.”

In the Genesis’ opening round on Thursday, the five-time Masters champion made his product debut. However, it was an uneventful return. Woods finished the opening round of the tournament one shot over par after making five birdies and six bogeys.
