Christian Horner, the principal of the Red Bull team, is currently the subject of an internal investigation into claims of “inappropriate behavior,” and he has now made his statement.
Christian Horner has reaffirmed his denial of the accusation of “inappropriate behavior” and his unwavering dedication to his position at Red Bull.
The 50-year-old is presently the focus of an internal investigation into the claims, which he has strongly refuted. After meeting with a lawyer in London last week, he has been actively involved in the Austrian team’s 2024 Formula One campaign preparations.
Along with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, he was spotted at Silverstone during Red Bull’s RB20 car testing. He also attended the official launch event on Thursday. When questioned for the first time regarding the investigation, Horner denied any misconduct and stated he had no intention of leaving the team anytime soon.
“I’m confident in the process and working with the process,” the man stated. [I] categorically refute any accusation made against me, and yes, you understand that it’s I just keep working within that process until it comes to an end.
When inquired about whether his position was ever in question, he said, “No, not at all.” Not at all. I’ve built this team, I’m totally committed to it, and I’ve persuaded people to come work here. Horner went on, “Look, I’m totally committed to this team.” “As you’ve seen in some of the previous videos, I’ve been here from the start. I built this team, and there have been highs and lows along the way.
“We’ve written history with our 113 race victories, seven driver world championships, and six constructor world championships in 19 seasons, but what matters most is always what’s ahead.”

“Look, I think at moments of, you know, uncertainty it brings the team together, and I’ve never seen a team more together, or more supportive than it is,” he said when asked if the team might become distracted approaching the final two weeks of preparations. “Everyone is focused on one thing, which is the performance of that car, to go out and defend both of the world titles that we’ve worked so hard to achieve over the last couple of years, so the car is what everybody is invested in, and I look forward to seeing it in action in Bahrain next week,” he responded.
Horner has already confirmed that he will compete in the Bahrain race on March 2, which kicks off the new F1 season. Verstappen is going for his fourth consecutive drivers’ championship, while Red Bull is going for their third straight.
Horner feels he has the complete backing of senior Red Bull officials, the factory, and the Dutchman as well as his colleague Perez. “There’s a process that’s ongoing at the moment; some allegations have been made, which I fully deny, and I’m complying obviously with that process and will continue to,” he stated. “The support from within the business, of our partners, within the industry, has been overwhelming.”
