Max Verstappen Determined to Avenge Booing Against Him in Austin by ‘Demolishing’ Local Boy in Mexico

After his victory over Austin at the recently concluded United States Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has was booed by fans. Now the Red Bull driver has sounded the alarm for revenge as he prepares to venture into Mexico and claim victory over team-mate Sergio Pérez despite the latter’s local support.

Verstappen has dominated Perez for most of the season, with the exception of the first four races. From Miami, another Dutchman went on a rampage. Now that he also won the race in Austin, reports say the boos are based on that.

Additionally, a win in Mexico would give the Red Bull driver 16 wins in a season. This would be the highest points total for a driver and Verstappen would therefore break his own record in 2022. So a win in Mexico could be crucial for the reigning champion.

Verstappen hopes for victory in Mexico.
F1 ventures to Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez next week as Max Verstappen takes on local boy Sergio Perez. Even if there is no direct competition between the two Red Bull drivers, the Mexican will certainly try to assert his dominance on home soil.

In addition, Perez will also be attended by the Mexican public. Despite this, the three-time world champion remained determined to win even with ten times as many boos standing in his way.

When asked about the boos in Austin, the Dutchman said he didn’t care as long as he brought home the championship trophy. Asked about it in Mexico, he added in his post-race interview: “So I’ll still leave with the trophy. So that’s completely fine. However, Perez has other battles to fight.

Perez must first defend his Red Bull seat.
Sergio Perez currently occupies second place in the drivers’ championship. However, he received threats from various riders throughout the season. Formerly Fernando Alonso and now Lewis Hamilton.

Even Hamilton’s disqualification in Austin helped the Mexican driver a lot. However, with the form that Silver Arrows and Hamilton have achieved recently, the gap is still narrowing.

Despite all this, Red Bull boss Christian Horner recently made way for Sergio Perez. The big boss says the former Force India driver does not need to worry about his seat in 2024 as he has been confirmed to race alongside Max Verstappen for another year.
