Lando Norris offers brutal response to Lewis Hamilton and George Russell health scares

George Russell and Lewis Hamilton failed to show up for their Singaporean post-race media duties.

George Russell and Lewis Hamilton’s absence from the Singapore Grand Prix media duties has drawn harsh criticism from Lando Norris. Following the intense heat and humidity of Sunday’s race in Marina Bay, the Mercedes pair appeared to have experienced a health scare.

After a wildly inconsistent 62 laps, Hamilton finished the Grand Prix in sixth place, having started the race in third place.

His younger teammate, Oscar Piastri, missed out on a podium spot, finishing fourth after employing a different tactic.

However, the two missed their required post-race media appearances because they were experiencing symptoms of heatstroke.

“Unfortunately, neither George nor Lewis will be attending the media pen this evening as they recover from the exertions of this evening’s race,” the Silver Arrows team said in a statement.

After speaking with the media in person in the paddock, team principal Toto Wolff said, “They did not feel well, borderline heatstroke or something like that, but they have had water.”

“They would not have had access to the press enclosure. The fact that we had the doctors with them was the only thing that annoyed or caused any bad feelings. However, they’re all fine.

Following his commanding performance that saw him take the lead over Max Verstappen, Norris has now responded angrily. Furthermore, Wolff’s suggestion that his drivers weren’t doing as well as other drivers on the grid seemed to infuriate him.

He angrily exclaimed, “Toto Wolff issues health update on Hamilton and Russell?” “Fucking hell, everyone is having difficulty! Why do they believe they’ve… If someone has heatstroke, then everyone has it.

The optimistic remarks come after Norris reduced Verstappen’s lead in the drivers’ standings to 52 points overall. Not only that, but a title race that once seemed like a formality is now very much alive, with six Grands Prix left in 2024.

The McLaren driver praised the way his car was performing after the race. Furthermore, the race took place in temperatures of about thirty degrees Celsius, but there was no mention of the unfavorable conditions he was forced to compete in.

He declared, “It was an incredible race.” “A little too many near accidents. A few moments occurred in the midst, but other than that, I was in complete control. We were flying the entire race because the car was so amazing that I could push.
