Max Verstappen flips out as medical delegate sent to check on angry Red Bull star

After a chaotic race at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen lost it.

After crashing with Lewis Hamilton at the Hungaroring, Max Verstappen told race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase that the medical delegate should go ‘to the stewards to see if they’re okay’.

At the Hungarian Grand Prix, the Dutchman was irritable from the start and lost his cool, shouting at his race engineer over the radio when he was instructed to give a position back to Lando Norris, who was in second place, on lap three.

After Lambiase made a joke at the beginning of his final stint about his tire warm-up, Verstappen returned to the radio. He yelled, “You gave me this s*** strategy.” “I’m attempting to save what remains.”

The outbursts from the three-time world champion didn’t stop there. Verstappen made a daring move inside Hamilton at Turn One on lap 63. The Red Bull driver lost two positions and was thrown off course when the two collided, sending him flying.

Because of the contact, Lambiase told Verstappen after the race that a medical delegate would be visiting him because the crash’s impact was greater than the automatic trigger threshold.

Verstappen took offense at this and objected, saying, “Let them send that medical delegate to the stewards to see if they are okay.” I’m doing just fine.”
