Brandel Chamblee, an analyst for Golf Channel, responds to Anthony Kim of LIV Golf on Twitter.
In a heated Twitter exchange with Anthony Kim of LIV Golf, Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee responded back.
Kim, the newest player signed by the Saudi-funded LIV Golf League, called former PGA Tour winner Chamblee a “pu**y” as he began the batting session.
This occurred only a few hours after Chamblee dramatically changed his mind regarding Saudi Arabia’s financial support of the PGA Tour.
After calling the PGA Tour’s shocking merger with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) on June 6, 2023, “one of the saddest days in pro golf,” Chamblee later acknowledged that the circuit needs to accept the deal because it represents the “better end.”
Kim took to Twitter late on Friday afternoon and tweeted:
“Ramble Chamblee @chambleebrandel, you’re such a pussy, pounding on your chest and essentially advocating for hypocritical and never-backdown retreats. It’s no secret that most people in the golf world detest this incompetent fool. Will you still cover golf if @livgolf_league is participating?
Kim made her fourth appearance at LIV during the breakaway tour’s recent trip to Adelaide.
Kim has so far placed 53-50-53-54 in fields with 54 men.
After 12 competitive rounds, Kim’s score to par is an astounding 46-over par overall.
Kim is participating in this campaign as a “wildcard,” having not yet committed to a LIV team.
Still, he has not scored a single point and is at the bottom of the individual standings.
Chamblee responded to Kim with a lengthy retort, fully aware that the former has not had the best start to his professional comeback.
Phil Mickelson of LIV Golf was also targeted by Chamblee during the process.
Chamblee tweeted:
“This is sadly ironic coming two tweets after you asked for advice on raising your daughter, calling someone a female body part in a juvenile attempt to denigrate them. It’s about as accurate as a lot of Mickelson’s drives. You were obviously not given a disability benefit for your witty remarks. Regarding your criticism of my statement that a deal with theSaudis is thebest deal for golf at themoment, I have made that statement recently because I don’t believe theSaudis will back down from the game, and they’ll persist in being a threat to poach and diluting the PGA Tour’s offering. Since you and your fellow LIV tour members are knowingly working with a murderous dictator for financial gain, allowing him to conceal his atrocities, golf has been forced to find ways to lessen the influence of MBS, PIF, and LIV in the otherwise merit-based and charitable world of professional golf. Why don’t you resume your favorite activity, which was stunning everyone with your talent? Although I dislike LIV for a variety of reasons, I did enjoy your golf and would love to see you play anything resembling the golfer you used to be.
