Lando Norris forces Sky Sports to issue apology in interview after winning Miami GP

Max Verstappen lost to Lando Norris on Sunday to win his first-ever Grand Prix in Miami.

After Lando Norris’s emotions overcame him during his post-race interview at the Miami Grand Prix, Sky Sports was forced to apologize.

With a brilliant drive at the Miami International Autodrome, the McLaren star put an end to his lengthy wait for his first Grand Prix victory. He took advantage of a fortunate safety car to take the lead.

From that point on, Norris easily handled the challenge posed by three-time world champion Max Verstappen, increasing his lead to more than seven seconds as he darted off into the sunset to complete an incredible victory.

After the race, he said, “About time,” to Jenson Button. F***! Apologies! What a competition! It has taken a very long time. I’ve finally succeeded in doing it.

“I’m overjoyed for my entire group. At last, I fulfilled their request. Hard race, long day. I’m ecstatic to have finally reached the top. It’s been a good weekend overall. Despite a few minor setbacks along the way, I knew on Friday that we were moving at the right pace.

Just an occasional error here or there. We were able to assemble it today. We executed the ideal plan, and it all worked out. All of us at McLaren are grateful. Naturally, I’ll give a shout-out to my parents.”

After winning the Grand Prix, the newly-crowned champion also had a message for his McLaren teammates, who worked tirelessly at the Woking factory to deliver an incredible ten upgrades to Miami.
