Ricciardo explains what he needs to do to get Red Bull moving

Nico Rosberg has suggested that Daniel Ricciardo’s chances of winning another F1 race are “remote” as the driver tries to move up the grid.

The Australian replaced Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri earlier this season after the rookie left the team after just 10 races.
But Ricciardo’s triumphant return to F1 after being forced to retire was cut short when he suffered an injury during practice before the Dutch Grand Prix.

As a result, he was forced to take some time off to recover, allowing rookie Liam Lawson to take his place in some races.
With Ricciardo expected to return this weekend for the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, former F1 champion Rosberg has expressed doubt the Australian will win in time next.

Red Bull shot

The former Mercedes driver predicts that Ricciardo will have to return to one of the top teams if he wants to stand a chance of winning a trophy.

He even suggested that Red Bull, Ricciardo’s former team, could be an option, if current replacement Sergio Perez cannot find better form next year.
Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 podcast, Rosberg said:

“Well, it certainly won’t be easy, because first of all he has to get a top car.
“So he has to go through through an excellent season. at AlphaTauri next year.

So maybe if Sergio [Perez] continues in this way, maybe even throughout the season, Daniel could have a chance to join [Red Bull]. a race win can be more powerful.

.He said:
“If [Ricciardo] does really well [in 2024], then I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t.

“If he gets into the number one team next year or the year after, 2025, when he will have a great chance to win another race. So there is a chance, but it’s still very far away right now.”
