‘He’s one of us’ PGA Tour player hits nightmare shot

Mark Hubbard delighted ZOZO Championship fans by hitting a shot that almost everyone who picked up a club can relate to .

A PGA Tour player made the crowd laugh after he launched his driver and cleared it ten yards during a practice round.
We’ve all been there. Standing on the first tee, curious golfers on the practice range will watch your ball as you make your backswing. Then bang, you dominate the ball, barely leaving the tee box.

While this is standard practice at golf courses around the world, you rarely expect to see it during a PGA Tour event.
Thankfully, Joel Dahmen’s caddie, Geno Bonnalie, had his camera at the ready during a practice round at the ZOZO Championship in Japan to catch Mark Hubbard embarrassing himself in front of a crowd of amused fans.

Did he do it on purpose? It’s hard to say, but knowing the skill level of PGA Tour players, it’s very possible he might have been trying to land a joke with the expectant crowd.

Hubbard did, however, go on to shoot a level par 70 in his opening round at the Japanese tournament, so it does look like there is a little rust in the swing, as he sees himself six shots off the leader Collin Morikawa.

This was clearly a huge hit with fans online, with users ‘one of us, one of us.”
Bonnalie’s Instagram followers were quick to get in on the action, co sympathy for Hubbard’s unfortunate moment.
