Tiger Wood is not among the 19 players revealed for the Global Heroes Challenge

The field was announced on Monday for the Hero World Challenge and tournament host Tiger Woods was not on the list. Woods’ annual tournament in Albany, Bahamas, benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation and is an unofficial event on the PGA Tour calendar. This year, it will take place from November 30 to December 30. 3. Nineteen players were announced for the 20-man field on Monday, potentially leaving the door open for Woods to enter the field himself. Otherwise, another tournament exemption will be granted elsewhere.

Woods last played at the Masters in April, where he was held before withdrawing due to plantar fasciitis. He underwent ankle surgery later that month due to injuries sustained in a February 2021 car accident.

Woods most recently competed in December 2019 and finished fourth. The field included all members of the United States Ryder Cup team except LIV Golf member Brooks Koepka, who could not compete because the Hero World Challenge was sanctioned by the PGA.

Norwegian Viktor Hovland will try to win this tournament for the third year in a row. The full list of 19 announced Monday:
