Max Verstappen has continued his war of words with the FIA during live streaming session

Following the race in Singapore, Max Verstappen and the FIA continued their verbal sparring.

During a Twitch sim-racing stream following the Singapore Grand Prix, Max Verstappen made light of the FIA by joking that his Team Redline teammates would receive “community service” if they used profanity during the broadcast.

In Singapore, the three-time world champion ran afoul of the FIA after using a profanity word at the press conference on Thursday. The body that oversees the sport gave him an order to perform “some work of public interest” in response.

This created quite a stir and sparked a discussion that lasted the entire weekend. Verstappen expressed his emotions clearly during the post-qualification press conference, staging a protest and giving brief answers to questions from the media in addition to saying “no comment.”

Verstappen has now moved the battle online. After the race last weekend, a teammate of the Dutchman’s asked, “Are we allowed to swear on the stream today?” during a stream to his devoted Twitch fans. The Red Bull driver quickly retaliated, saying, “No! You’re going to do community service!

Verstappen wasn’t the only driver who felt that the FIA’s penalty was unjust. Following the qualifying round, rivals Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris both voiced their support.

When asked about Verstappen’s rebuke, Hamilton responded, “It is a bit of a joke, to be honest.” “Mistakes happen in the highest level of the sport. It’s definitely not something I would do, and I really hope Max doesn’t.” “I don’t agree with any of it, it is pretty unfair,” Norris continued.

Verstappen is also unwilling to overlook the disaster. The current world champion even hinted that he might decide to leave Formula One sooner rather than later and try his hand at other racing series if the FIA kept tightening its regulations on drivers’ language.

Indeed. When you can’t be who you are or have to deal with these kinds of ridiculous things, it definitely determines your future, he said. “I believe that at this point in my career, you don’t want to be constantly dealing with this.

You know, it really wears you out. It’s fantastic to be successful and win races, of course, but after all of that, all that effort has left you wanting to just enjoy yourself.

Naturally, everyone in this fight—even those at the back of the grid—is pushing themselves to the absolute limit. However, I do not think that is a viable way to stay in the sport if you have to deal with all these ridiculous things.
