Christian Horner, the team principal for Red Bull, was the subject of an investigation after accusations of misconduct, but he was found not guilty.
Red Bull has announced that after an investigation into claims of inappropriate behavior, Christian Horner has been found not to have engaged in any misconduct.
Red Bull GmbH, the Austrian parent company of the Formula 1 team, opened an investigation into Horner earlier this month following a complaint from a female coworker. But now that the investigation has come to an end, the new Formula One season is ready to begin this weekend in Bahrain.
“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr. Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed,” the company said in a statement. An appeal is within the complainant’s rights. Red Bull is certain that the inquiry was conducted in an impartial, thorough, and fair manner.
“We will refrain from providing any additional comments out of respect for all parties involved, as the investigation report is confidential and includes the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation. Red Bull will keep working to uphold the best standards in the workplace.”
The 50-year-old, who is wed to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, has vehemently refuted the accusations and has been carrying out his duties helping Red Bull get ready for the season’s opening weekend. On February 9, Horner was questioned by a knowledgeable attorney, and the findings of the inquiry have been made public.
Horner stated that things are running smoothly when questioned about the circumstances earlier this month. Naturally, I refute all of the charges that have been leveled against me, but I will cooperate with the investigation, which I hope will be finished soon. Regarding the contents of that process, I am unable to comment.
“I clearly have faith in the process, am working with it, and refute all of the accusations that have been made. I just keep working within that process until it comes to an end.”
Horner maintained that he still had the support of his close family members in spite of the accusations made against him. He continued, “My wife and family are really supportive.” “I’ve been concentrating on my work and the upcoming season.” Since 2015, Horner and Geri have been married, and they have a son together.
A few days before Bahrain hosts the start of the new Formula One season, Red Bull released this statement. Before the first race of the season, Lewis Hamilton, who is leaving Mercedes to join Ferrari at the end of the current season, gave his opinion on the controversy.
Hamilton stated, “We always need to be doing more to try to make the sport and the workplace feel safe and inclusive.” “All accusations must be investigated thoroughly. Even though we are not aware of everything that has happened, the situation needs to be handled because it is threatening the sport.
“It will be interesting to see how it is dealt with, and the effect that it may or may not have on the sport moving forward. It is a really important moment for the sport to make sure that we stand true to our values.”
