PGA professional Georgia Ball was left baffled by a nosy golfer whilst practicing at the driving range

PGA professional Georgia Ball was practicing her swing on the driving range when her session was interrupted by a fellow golfer who tried offering their swing advice

When PGA pro Georgia Ball received some swing advice from a nearby bay, the curious golfer left her perplexed while she was practicing at the driving range.

Ball, a qualified PGA professional, shares her experiences in the golf world with her 156,000 followers on TikTok. But after a male player attempted awkwardly to give her swing advice in her most recent post, she caused quite the stir.

Ball shared the driving range exchange with her Instagram and TikTok followers, writing, “Is it really true that he said this? I was thus given “swing advice” by the man sitting next to me.

What happened next made golf fans on social media cringe, as a man nearby gave professional Ball advice on how to improve her swing. The other golfer, who is out of sight, can be heard saying, “Excuse me, what are you doing there, you should not be doing that.”

“You ought to follow through and be fully in your swing. You move too slowly both up and down.” Ball, obviously aware of her own swing, replied with grace, “Okay, I am going through a swing change at the moment.” The male player, eager to emphasize his point, chimed in, saying, “I’ve been playing golf for 20 years.”

Ball then sets up for another shot, and her new “coach” remarks, “See how much better that was?” following a similar swing down the middle. Observing the humorous side, Ball repeated that she was practicing at a slower pace to make a few adjustments, citing the “best players in the world” as examples of those who go through a similar process.

“Keep doing that anyway, OK?” the golfer continued, obviously trying to make his point. Ball smiled awkwardly at her camera before. Since then, Ball’s TikTok account has received almost 8 million views, and shocked golfers have posted about 20,000 comments on the video.

“I’ve been driving for 25 years, but I’m not about to give Lewis Hamilton some pointers,” one person wrote. “How long has he been playing golf for?,” another sarcastically followed. I doubt he brought it up.” Ball, a certified coach in her own right, also contributed to the comments section.

“I won’t lie, this was a little awkward,” she continued. “I had to laugh out loud. I couldn’t think of anything to say.” Ball’s golf tip videos have gained her over 330,000 followers on both her Instagram and TikTok accounts. Her TikTok page is a great resource for amateur golfers looking to improve their game.
