Christian Horner under investigation as Red Bull chief accused of ‘inappropriate behaviour’

Christian Horner, 50, the principal of the Red Bull F1 team and husband of the former Spice Girl Geri Horner, is the target of a staff member’s allegation of inappropriate behavior.

Red Bull has announced that it is looking into a colleague’s claim that Christian Horner acted inappropriately.

The parent company of Red Bull, as extensively reported by several European media outlets, has engaged outside detectives to conduct the inquiry. The 50-year-old Horner, the team principal of the company’s main Formula 1 team, refutes the accusation.

The parent company released the following statement: “The company launched an independent investigation after learning of certain recent allegations. An outside, specialized barrister is handling this process, which has already started.

“The company takes these issues very seriously, and the inquiry will be finished as soon as it is practical to do so. Further comments would not be appropriate at this time.

Horner said he “completely denies” the accusation made against him in an interview with the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. Red Bull Racing has been contacted by Mirror Sport for a statement.

Since the F1 team was acquired by the parent company of Red Bull prior to the 2005 season, Horner has served as team principal. He wed former Spice Girl Geri Horner in May 2015, and they have a daughter together.

Only a few weeks remain before Red Bull Racing begins its most recent Formula One title defense. The overwhelming favorites to win both titles once more by the end of the 2024 season are Max Verstappen and his group.

How powerful their new RB20 car will be in comparison to the competitors’ winter-build challengers is still to be determined. However, Formula E champion Jake Dennis has cautioned others that the Milton Keynes-based team has built yet another terrifying machine based on his testing of the Red Bull car on the simulator.

We have an incredibly quick race car back at the Red Bull team, he told the Mirror. Unless someone like Ferrari or Mercedes manages to find roughly a second [per lap] overnight, I would expect us to win the championship once more. I predict that Formula 1 will have a very boring season, with Max likely to dominate.”
