REPORT: TIGER WOODS SET TO UNVEIL NEXT APPAREL PARTNERSHIP AFTER LEAVING NIKE

Tiger Woods is reportedly set to announce he will have his own apparel line with TaylorMade after sensationally leaving Nike.

Tiger Woods will reportedly soon announce a new clothing partnership with TaylorMade after bringing an end to his association with Nike.

Woods, 48, confirmed the worst kept secret in men’s professional golf on 9 January by stating he has parted ways with the sportswear giant after 27 years.

The 15-time major champion has been using the brand’s products and wearing the swoosh since 1996.

But the two have agreed to part ways.

Although Woods’ decision to wear FootJoy golf shoes in competition since suffering serious injuries in his 2021 car crash is rumored to have frustrated some executives, there has been no indication that the split was amicable.

Nike is rumored to have paid Woods at least $500 million over the course of his career.

GolfMagic has already conducted a thorough analysis of the golfer’s possible wardrobe partners.

However, the report indicates that TaylorMade is in charge.

The original equipment manufacturer has been posting job openings for a new clothing division, as TWLegion on X reported.

Since Nike ceased producing golf equipment, Woods has been using TaylorMade clubs, so it appears to be a practical move.

Although it has a small selection, TaylorMade does currently have an apparel division.

According to the report, the brand may try to snatch celebrities who already own their golf clubs.

Brand ambassadors for Nike still include Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Scottie Scheffler, and Nelly Korda.

It is most likely that Woods’ new clothing partner will be revealed when he makes his first start of 2024 in Los Angeles next month, despite the report indicating that the announcement could come any moment.

In his heartfelt farewell to Nike, Woods virtually assured everyone that he would be firing at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational.

“More than 27 years ago, I had the good fortune to begin a partnership with one of the most recognizable brands in the world,” Woods wrote.

“I could go on forever naming the incredible moments and experiences that have occurred in the days since.

“I want to personally thank Phil Knight, the Nike staff, and the amazing athletes I have had the pleasure of working with along the way for their passion and vision in bringing this Nike and Nike Golf partnership together.

“People are going to ask if there will be more chapters. Indeed, there will undoubtedly be more chapters.

Nike provided the following in response to Woods’ statement: “Tiger, you challenged your competition, stereotypes, conventions, and the old school way of thinking.”

“You issued a challenge to the entire game of golf. You challenged us. Above all, you yourself. And we are appreciative of that challenge.”
