Future of PGA Tour star in question after massive LIV Golf offer

Rahm has reportedly received an offer north of $500 million to join LIV Golf.

In recent months, the competition between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour has waned. But, given the substantial offer that LIV is said to have made to PGA Tour player Jon Rahm, things might heat up once more.

For a considerable amount of time, Rahm has been among the sport’s biggest stars. Getting his first green jacket at the 2023 Masters Tournament in April is arguably his most well-known achievement.

Even though many other professional athletes have switched to LIV, he has remained faithful to the PGA Tour. However, it appears that LIV has made Rahm an unprecedented offer that might be too good to turn down.

Rahm is anticipated to accept an offer “upwards of $500 million” from LIV Golf in the upcoming weeks, according to The Telegraph.

The fact that Rahm appears to be interested in making the switch to LIV Golf is certainly intriguing. especially considering that Rahm has previously expressed disapproval of LIV’s no-cut event format.

Rahm has even gone so far as to say that his “heart lied with the PGA Tour” and has criticized media for having previously suggested that he was considering playing for LIV Golf.

Rahm’s sudden change of heart suggests that the offer from LIV must be pretty substantial in light of everything.

Rahm would join a list of former PGA Tour players who have left for LIV that seems to be expanding quickly. Stars like Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, and many more are currently on that list.
