Being a mother is a full-time job, and for Tiger Woods’ niece, Cheyenne Woods, the challenges of motherhood are reaching a whole new level in 2024. It’s rare for a mother to expect to be recognized for all the sacred work she does, but Cheyenne has been open about it, her journey, and especially her daughter Maya’s health struggles. When Maya was born, things seemed perfect. But soon, the situation went in a tough direction. She had difficulty eating and gaining weight and suffered from severe reflux and laryngomalacia, which required the use of a feeding tube after surgery. Of course, for a mother to see her child in such a state must be heartbreaking. Even at times, Cheyenne felt depressed and helpless.
Tiger Woods’s niece explains the 2024 challenges
Reflecting on the year, Cheyenne shared a carousel of photos on social media featuring Maya and her son Cameron. “2024 broke me and challenged me in ways I wasn’t prepared for, but we got through it,” she shared. Despite all the difficult times, she’s incredibly proud of Maya and how much they’ve grown. “Maya is a lot stronger than I am, but we’ve grown a lot together,” Cheyenne added. In the post, Cheyenne shared her breastfeeding journey, saying she found herself in the hospital last New Year’s Eve, not knowing what 2024 would bring. “Being able to feed our daughter was never a question that crossed my mind when she was born,” Cheyenne said. But because of Maya’s condition, they had to switch to tube feedings and adjust to a new lifestyle that kept them housebound except for doctor’s appointments and therapy.
“For 10 months, Maya was 100% dependent on her feeding tube,” Cheyenne says. “During those months, she vomited more than 15 times during the day and night.”
Anyway, Cheyenne is proud of Maya’s progress. “We are very proud of her efforts and her progress,” she said. And she is grateful for her support from her family and friends, even at a white night or at the moment of these difficult suspicions. “I am very grateful to our family and friends who were there to support us at all stages,” said Shine.
In 2024, it was probably heavy for Sheenna, but her strength was clear because her mother had grown. And she’s not alone. Former LPGA player Jane Park has also faced many challenges raising her children.
Jane Park spoke about the mental anguish of motherhood.
Parents are willing to do anything for their children, even if it means putting their dreams on hold, and former LPGA Tour player Jane Park is one parent who has made that sacrifice. She put down her clubs for her daughter, Grace, and hasn’t looked back. Grace began having severe seizures at 10 months old and was later diagnosed with intractable epilepsy. For Park, that was the tipping point, and she chose to focus on being a full-time mom over continuing her professional golf career.
It wasn’t an easy choice—Park had already made a name for herself on the LPGA Tour, with 16 top-ten finishes under her belt. But when it came to her daughter’s health, the decision was clear: motherhood came first.
Now the park is in another unequal battle -is with grace, and helps epilepsy implies all the difficulties. For a while, she can communicate with the audience through the results of golf games, but what is happening in her life and grace with the help of epilepsy using Instagram. You can tell people. Last December, Jane revealed a lot about her mental state. She said: “Lately, my mental capacity has been very reduced with insurance renewals and daily epileptic seizures.”
This scene was of course quite true and showed how hard and overwhelming life was for her. The park had no simple tasks, but she has been silently suffering so far because pressure on the spirit front is prohibited. She did an excellent masking job that managed it, but her decision to express myself was to remind me of the difficulty of this process for a lot of mother.
Overall, the abilities of mothers, such as parks and chairs, and the abilities of many other people, trust and mention their durability. Regardless of what is going on in the middle, they have problems for their children, and this kind of love and commitment we can do.
