Luke Littler took a 4-0 lead into Friday night’s World Darts Championship final against Michael van Gerwen, stunning fans with his relentless performance.
Luke Littler’s debut in the PDC World Darts Championship final caught the attention of fans, many of whom were amazed by the teenager’s skill.
The 17-year-old Littlerer was aiming to improve on his final score in January 2024. He was also going after Van Gerwen\’s record for the youngest ever world champion, with the Dutchman claiming the title at the age of 24 back in 2014.
Van Gerwen had a few shaky moments early on and his opponent took full advantage. Littler almost immediately took a four-set lead and then hit double after double to try to close out the match.
The teenage sensation captured fans’ imaginations during his fairytale run last year, when Luke Humphries eventually denied him the title. And he has shown no signs of slowing down this time around.
