Max Verstappen ‘worried’ after verbal tirade from Lando Norris in chaotic Mexican GP

At the Mexican Grand Prix, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris clashed.

Despite losing by 10 points to the McLaren driver in Mexico, Max Verstappen has declared that he is “not worried” about losing the Drivers’ Championship title to Lando Norris.

The Dutchman shoved Norris wide at Turn Four and Turn Eight after fighting with him twice in a single lap. He received 10-second penalties for both incidents.

Norris was enraged at his opponent. “I was ahead the whole way through the corner,” he grumbled on the radio. This man is dangerous. It’s the same as it was previously. In a moment, I will be inside the wall.

When Verstappen was interviewed after the race, he was not panicking despite losing by 10 points to his championship rival.

He responded, “I’m not worried,” to a question about whether the title fight was a cause for concern on Sky Sports F1. “We’ll just keep trying even though this race was really awful for us because I know we can do much better.”

Examining Red Bull’s problems in greater detail, he said: “The issue is that you’re placed in those kinds of situations when you’re slower. I will not give up easily.

“In the end, it doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree with the penalties—the only thing is that 20 seconds is a long time. The race pace is today’s biggest issue and what worries me the most. We need to analyze it because it was really bad. We had absolutely no chance of fighting at the front, even without those penalties.

Verstappen thought the penalties were inappropriate, but McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown disagreed. His words, “[The penalties were] probably not enough,” “I mean, it’s becoming a little absurd.

I commend the stewards of the FIA. Enough is enough. Going forward, let’s just have some clean, good racing. I believe that the penalties imposed demonstrate that the stewards are aware of the situation. This past weekend, the stewards performed admirably.
