Team USA Coach Makes brutal Statement on Jordan Chiles Keeping Bronze Medal

Even though her bronze medal controversy may not be any closer to being resolved, Jordan Chiles seems to be hanging onto her Olympic medal from Paris. In a dramatic moment, the American gymnast first won the bronze medal in the floor competition. Chiles placed fourth at the start, but after Team USA coach Cecile Landi asked for an examination of her final score, the judges found that it had been calculated erroneously. Chiles’s final score increased by 0.1 points, moving her up to third place from fifth.

After the Romanian team filed an appeal, the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned the scoring modification and found that Landi had filed her appeal just a few seconds after the deadline. Then, the International Olympic Committee declared that Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu, who had placed fourth earlier, would “reallocate” the bronze to her. Landi addressed the controversy and asserted that the American gymnast is still in possession of her medal. Landi has been a fervent supporter of Chiles since the ruling was made. A commenter on X questioned Landi about whether Chiles still held the bronze medal. The commenter went on to say that they had heard Olympic officials had already taken it back.

Although Landi refuted the rumor that Chiles’ medal had already been returned, he remained silent about its precise whereabouts.

Chiles also won a gold medal in the team competition during the Olympics in Paris.
