Lewis Hamilton was summoned to the FIA stewards at Zandvoort due to a suspected blocking incident that occurred during qualifying.
After finishing outside the top 10 in qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix, Hamilton was eliminated in the second round of the race, and things could get worse on Saturday since the seven-time F1 World Champion has been called before the stewards.

As the Red Bull driver navigated a fast lap, Hamilton was attempting to move out of the way of the quickly approaching Sergio Perez. However, the Turn 9 exit Hamilton was driving at prevented him from giving the Mexican driver quite enough room.
After the incident, Perez became enraged with the Mercedes driver’s actions and angrily radioed in to Richard Woods, the race engineer, asking, “What the f**k is this idiot doing?!?” Hamilton responded to Pete Bonnington, his race engineer, by saying, “I was well out of his way.”
When he was informed at the end of Q1 that he had survived, Perez’s rage didn’t go away because he had to complete another run on the soft tires to advance to Q2.

Hamilton has now been called before the stewards due to an alleged infraction of FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations Article 37.5, which deals with impeding, so Perez may still get his wish.
After the session, Hamilton spoke with the media, including PlanetF1.com, and said he had done everything in his power to stay out of Perez’s way.
Following his 12th-place qualifying finish, he said, “Yeah, not ideal, it was a difficult session.”
“Yes, I did. I really tried my hardest to stay as far away from them as I could. It was just ineffective.
