Kevin Na melts down during disastrous hole in LIV event: ‘This is fu–ing bulls–t!’

By all accounts, LIV Golf’s second Adelaide event was a huge success for the tour, drawing wild spectators and an exciting finish won by Australian-represented Ripper GC. However, not everyone returned from Australia feeling upbeat.

Consider Kevin Na. With one shot to spare in the third and final round, his Iron Heads had a chance to capture their first team title. However, a bad day sent them down to sixth position. Furthermore, Na’s disastrous hole didn’t help.

Na made a bogey on the 10th hole, but he bounced back to play great golf, finishing with six birdies and no bogeys in his next 16 holes. By the time he got to the par-5 ninth, his last hole of the day, he had actually made four consecutive birdies. Then everything fell apart.

After an errant, Na found himself in a particularly sandy lie in the woods. And on his second try, after missing the fairway with his first, he hits a tree branch and remains in trouble. To put it mildly, he was not happy with the circumstances. Look and listen to this:

difficult situation. in the true sense. In the video, Na can be heard saying, “Seriously, this is fu–ing bulls–t,” just before his caddie instructs him to take a “deep breath.” Na slaps his bag after the first attempt fails and changes clubs. Not that it made a difference.

One fan can be heard saying, “One of us!” just prior to Na’s second attempt failing. That probably didn’t help either. In the individual competition won by Brendan Steele, Na ended up shooting 69 to finish T-34 and making double bogey (not too bad, all things considered!).

Fortunately for Kevin, Na’s notorious blow-up hole from the 2011 Valero Texas Open is unaffected by this. At TPC San Antonio that year, he shot a 16 at the ninth hole as well. Okay, so that’s probably not going to help Na either with this one.
