F1 LIVE: Christian Horner ‘not expected to survive’ as insiders worry for Red Bull boss

Christian Horner, the team principal for Red Bull, is apparently “not expected to survive” an internal hearing regarding a behavior complaint. The investigation is still ongoing, but the 50-year-old has refuted the accusations made against him.

Since 2005, Horner has been Red Bull’s manager; however, his tenure has been called into question ahead of the 2024 season. In response to the complaints made against him, the team moved swiftly to address the matter, and an investigation is currently in progress.

Although there is growing speculation that the investigation could conflict with the start of the upcoming season, Red Bull is hoping for a speedy resolution to the issue, which might result in Horner’s departure.

Red Bull investigation will overlap with start of 2024 season

According to The Sun, Red Bull’s investigation into a complaint made against Christian Horner won’t be finished in time for the Formula One season to begin.

Prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first practice sessions of 2024 are scheduled for February 29. However, a resolution is not anticipated by that date.

Although a source told The Sun that Horner hasn’t been fired or asked to leave yet, Red Bull is taking the complaint against him very seriously.

Horner ‘not expected to survive’ ongoing investigation

The ongoing investigation into the 50-year-old Christian Horner has led to reports that he is “not expected to survive” in his position as Red Bull’s boss.

Horner was the target of an inappropriate complaint last week, and it is reported that a hearing was held on Friday.

The BBC reports that a number of insiders “do not expect him to survive” in his position as a result of the investigation, with some anticipating Red Bull to look for a replacement on the Austrian side of their company.
