Red Bull change location of Christian Horner investigation hearing in last-minute U-turn

Christian Horner’s hearing for “inappropriate behavior” at Red Bull has been rescheduled for this Friday; it will now take place at a new location instead of the team’s Milton Keynes headquarters.

It has been reported that Red Bull has relocated Christian Horner’s hearing.

A Red Bull Racing coworker has accused Horner of engaging in “inappropriate behavior.” The parent company of the massive energy drink company is taking the situation seriously, and Horner vigorously refutes the accusations leveled against him.

He stays on as the team principal while the inquiry is going on. Since the team’s 2005 launch, the Englishman has led Red Bull’s primary Formula 1 squad. The team will celebrate its 20th season on the grid in the upcoming 2024 season.

Horner will meet with the independent investigator that Red Bull hired to handle the case at a hearing on Friday. The team leader gets to make his case because he has his own legal counsel present.

The Times claims that the hearing’s original location was Red Bull’s Milton Keynes headquarters. However, because of the heightened media interest in the case, they have changed their minds about that plan.

It is alleged that Red Bull employees have not been informed of the hearing’s specifics and that it will now take place at a secret location. Horner is anticipated to be interrogated about the allegations made against him during the hearing.

After reviewing the evidence over the weekend, it is anticipated that the investigator will present their conclusions and suggestions to Red Bull early the following week. After that, the parent company will determine whether or not to take any action.

Red Bull Racing is eager to get this settled before its 2024 season launch event takes place on Thursday of next week. The following Wednesday, February 21, is when pre-season testing gets underway. The Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday, March 2, marks the start of the season.

On Thursday morning, Horner was seen leaving his house in his car in anticipation of the hearing that could determine his fate. With the exception of one race, he guided the team to their third consecutive constructors’ championship in the previous season.

“The company started an independent investigation after learning of some recent allegations. An external specialist barrister is handling this process, which is already underway,” the company said in a statement following the revelation of the allegations.

“The company takes these issues very seriously, and the inquiry will be finished as soon as it is practical to do so. Further comments would not be appropriate at this time.
