TIGER WOODS DROPS THE DATE OF NEXT MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT

Living golf legend Tiger Woods appeared to confirm he will announce his ‘next chapter’ on 12 February after leaving the global sportswear giant Nike.

A smattering of golf fans believed Tiger Woods missed a trick when he appeared to confirm the date his new apparel line will be launched.

Since Woods ended his 27-year partnership with Nike in early January, there has been much conjecture about where the golfer will end up.

Though FootJoy, Greyson Clothiers, and Malbon were mentioned as potential locations, it seems that Woods has already made up his mind.

And that involves starting his own line with TaylorMade, a manufacturer of equipment.

The Woods fan account TWLegion discovered trademark filings that appear to indicate Sunday Red will be the brand’s name.

It’s a clear homage to the Sunday uniform that the renowned golfer has worn throughout his illustrious, inducted-into-the-Hall of Fame career.

On February 6, Woods posted on social media to let people know they should keep a look out for his next big announcement on Monday.

A photograph of the golfer was captioned with: “The vision remains the same. 2.12.24.”

Some people weren’t blind to the possibility that Woods blew it when he revealed Sunday Red on a Monday.

Still, his horde of fans were excited about the impending announcement.

One X user commented, “I’m not sure what this is, but hell yeah.” One more person said, “Let’s f—ing go!”

Next week, Woods is scheduled to return to the PGA Tour. At Riviera Country Club, he hosts the Genesis Invitational tournament.

Interestingly, despite Woods winning 82 PGA Tour titles, he has never tasted victory at Riviera.

You may remember that Woods made headlines once more at this tournament the previous year, this time for all the wrong reasons.

After outdriving his partner, the 15-time major champion was seen quietly giving Justin Thomas a tampon.

Woods later expressed regret for the incident that widely offended people, saying, “It wasn’t what I had anticipated it would be—all fun and games, obviously.

“I apologize to anyone I may have offended in any way. That was not how it was supposed to be.

“I think this did not come across that way virally, but between us it was, it’s different. We play practical jokes on each other all the time.”

Why does Tiger Woods wear red on Sundays?

As a personal ritual and superstition, Tiger Woods wears red during the final rounds of golf tournaments.

According to him, he wears red because his mother Kultida thinks it’s a powerful color for him and he’s done well in it.

It’s become customary for him to wear red on Sundays over the years, especially during the championship rounds of competitions.

The golf world has come to recognize the outfit as iconic.
