Jon Rahm left frustrated again as another deal for a PGA Tour star on his LIV Golf team falls through.
Jon Rahm has reportedly been unsuccessful in his bid to sign another PGA Tour star onto his LIV Golf team for 2024 as a deal to sign reigning US Open champion Wyndham Clark has now fallen through.
The update was confirmed on Twitter this morning by Flushing It, who initially broke the news that Clark was close to signing on the dotted line with Rahm’s team, which will apparently be called Legion XIII.
On 15 January, Flushing It tweeted how Clark had been in negotiations with LIV Golf over the last few months.
Flushing It then tweeted on 17 January “talks might have now fallen through.”
The account confirmed on 18 January: “Yeah. Talks fell through.”
Clark is also competing in this week’s American Express on the PGA Tour.

In the last five weeks, this is the second major player on the PGA Tour to decline a chance to join Rahm’s LIV Golf team.
Tony Finau, a star on the PGA Tour, caught Rahm’s attention last month, according to information provided to GolfMagic.
Finau and Rahm are also close friends.
However, that transaction collapsed.
Our sources close to LIV Golf tell us that the Saudi-backed circuit was unable to provide Finau with the funding it needed.
Finau will now continue to play on the PGA Tour this year, but LIV Golf may make a move for him in the future.
Rumors surfaced on social media elsewhere that Rahm attempted to go after Tyrrell Hatton, his European Ryder Cup teammate.
However, our sources have informed us that Hatton will still compete in 2024 on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.
With only two weeks remaining before the 2024 LIV Golf League season begins at the former PGA Tour stop of Mayakoba in Mexico, Rahm’s four-man team is still being decided.
Handicap 54 predicts that amateur Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent will both join Rahm’s squad.
19-year-old Surratt is currently ranked as the top amateur in the world and was a member of the US Walker Cup team in 2023. Vincent, 26, qualified for LIV Golf through their most recent Promotions Event and is ranked just inside the top 400.
If that’s the case, Rahm just needs to add one more player to his squad.
Given that the inaugural LIV Golf League event will take place in Mexico during the first week of February, he will definitely need to be swift.
